Why Bioinformatics?
Bioinformatics allows analyzing huge amount of biological data and induces the advancement of biomedicine. Bioinformatics Analysis of genomes can yield key findings that can be easily experimentally tested accelerating the rate of bioscience discovery. In Era7 we can help you to accelerate your discoveries because we are too researches.
An hypothesis driven computational study developed by the Bioinformatics and Immunology units of Era7 analyzing four genomes from important gram- human pathogens ( Neisseria, Salmonella, Coli and Aeruginosa) resulted in the finding of immunostimulatory motifs in the abundant DNA REP (Repetitive Extragenic Palindromic ) sequences. Experimental testing of the computantional findings was carried out in the Goteborg University. Thus, with very few experiments we have described for the first time abundant specific natural DNA sequences stimulating innate immunity. The paper has been published in the “Cutting Edge” section of The Journal of Immunology. This section is intended for publishing “reports describing significant advances in an area of immunology”.
